Another beautiful Basil Classic... a 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee with just 89,280 miles, handpicked and meets Joe Basil's standards of excellence and tradition of fine automobiles since 1951. Still another of these vehicles is this 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee, which we present today for your consideration.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, many returning young soldiers looked for ways to move past their experiences. Seeking a fresh start, many bought stylish cars that suited their personalities. The super stock era had brought large engines to full-sized sedans, but by the late 1960s, Chrysler responded to youth demand for more personalized muscle cars. The Roadrunner, Cuda, GTX, Challenger R/T, and Dodge Coronet Super Bee were among Chrysler's offerings.

This stunning 1970 Dodge Super Bee is a fine example of a muscle car.

At first glance, it is evident that this beauty is a no-nonsense entry. The intimidating front end, with its "snout" appearance and twin functional hood scoops, commands your immediate attention. Further review reveals the boldly stated super bee stripes accenting the factory-applied light green paint and the BFGoodrich white letter tires mounted on chrome Magnum 500 wheels. Out back, you quickly note the menacing twin oval-port exhaust tips and the animated super bee just beyond the Dodge nameplate, suggesting that this is a very specialized build.

The nondescript, matching green vinyl bench seat interior has been upgraded with a pistol-grip floor shift, which operates the four-speed transmission and directs power from the stout 383ci engine to the rear wheels. Additional performance goodies include the manual ram-air lever under the dash, which allows fresh air to enter the engine through the twin scoops when activated. Further upgrades include the factory-in-dash tick-tock-tack, power disc brakes, and an aftermarket oil gauge, which allows the operator to monitor exact oil pressure while in operation.
The iconic Dodge Coronet Super Bee stands out for its distinctive design, powerful engine, and storied muscle car legacy. This example, in stunning condition, exemplifies its era and will make your heart race at first glance. Come in and have a look, but be prepared, you are sure to be mesmerized at first sight.
